Lundberg Reunion; 2009 or 2010???
It has been 27 years since the last reunion of Lundberg Family members at the farm in Ione, Wa. We are past due to once again all re-visit the original place where Petrus (Pete) and Elizabeth (Lisa) Lundberg settled and began a family. It is because of this place, and them that all our lives have been either put into place, or affected in one way or another.
Please, join us this year to celebrate our family history. This will be a gathering of not only family but of friends, and all those either the Lundberg members or Lundberg farm has had an impact on. It is my goal to have everything ready to host everyone who can come up to visit. You can camp in the field, stay in one of the provided campers, or make reservations to stay in town. Again, everyone is welcome, and I would like to have all come up. We will be starting the festivities on July 25th, 2008, and continuing for one full week through August 1st. This is not a limitation of any sort; anyone can stay longer or come earlier if you wish. And please DO invite friends who would enjoy attending, and anyone who has had the family and the family farm as a part of their lives.
On July 27th, the traditional annual Downriver Days celebration will last in the town for the weekend. We will attempt to have all of the Lundberg descendants in the parade on Main Street Saturday morning. Other events include the train rides, games and booths in the park, live music, and the Snowmobile Watercross on Sunday.
On Monday, July 30th, we will have family oriented festivities, possibly some games and other activities, which will last through August 1st.
So, I can only hope that you can share this year's reunion with is at the Lundberg Family Farm in Ione. I am open to entertain any suggestions, information, or any input that anyone may like to give me. Please forward this or pass this along to everyone it pertains to!
